With a vision for building something meaningful, Kristina has taken all of her favourite things she has loved over her two decades in the industry and added in her own warmth and creative touch to create Umönnun Studio. Umönnun, the Icelandic word meaning care, is at the core of every decision that was made in building her salon.

Kristina has a passion for hair and for making people feel heard and cared for. She loves to teach and is always thinking of ways to help people improve their style or health of their hair and scalp.

Kristina is famous for being the jack of all hairstyles. She loves to be able to help every person, every texture of hair, and every style goal.

Over the last decade Kristina has noticed a significant increase in clients confiding in her about their struggles with hair loss, and damage. She wanted to have more options to help her client base and has been learning and developing new methods of hair enhancements. Kristina specializes in corrective hair extensions and is continually working to expand her offerings to help those wanting to bring back hair they once had, or dream hair they always wanted but couldn’t get with their own natural hair alone.
